I am filling in for Clementine today and had a request to post the WD Point totals. We will be posting this information here every day during the WD event.

12/19 @ 11am PST, the point total: 689,864,596
12/20 @ 11am PST, the point total: 1,271,820,272
12/21 @ 11am PST, the point total: 1,798,854,906
12/22 @ 11am PST, the point total: 2,667,409,078
12/23 @ 11am PST, the point total: 3,443,792,748
12/24 @ noon PST, the point total: 5,441,176,852

Starting 12/21 @ 1pm PST, WD POINTS COUNT DOUBLE (2x) for the community event!
Starting 12/23 @ noon PST, WD POINTS COUNT QUADRUPLE (4x) for the community event.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the event! With your help, everyone that participated in the WD gets the care package, alliance defense bonus, and the double strike bonus. These items should be in your inventory by 5pm PST.

No one is whining. Since this is the first community event ever for MW, the numbers should have been low just to see what the community can get and then make the next higher based on the numbers. Maybe they did run the numbers but almost 7b WD for the best reward is a little much.

They probably set it above average in order to make more money.
Then again, it might be below avg. (Unlikely as this is Gree(d)).

The current total is 1.2 trillion not billion and that was as of 11am PST. It's a prize everyone gets so in the end who cares if we meet the goal or not. Either way everyone will be in the same boat. Well everyone but the people who are locked out which seems to be the lowest priority

please learn some math before you post

1,2xx,xxx,xxx = that is a total of 10 digits

So

First 3 digits "xxx" are for 100s (from the end)
Second set of 3 digits are for 1000s. (From the end)
Third set of 3 digits are for million (from the end)

So 900,000,000, is 900 millions

10th digit is for BILLIONS

So current score is 1.2 BILLIONS

The Liberator goes to the one who designed and orchestrated the contest.

You see, if this community scores that many WD points (which are getting harder and harder to score), the contest creator scores big at year end and hits their REAL life goals.

For some this is a game, for soime this is "keep 'em tappin' or die".

Personally, I like just hangin' out with me mates, talking trash, posting trash on the dirty, and just chillin; you know DEWIN NUTTIN.

I think greedy NEEDS us to score the 6b points not for us to get the rewards, but maybe because with the gold that needs to be spend to get there, Greedy could show a positive income on this year financials which ends in 10 days :rolleyes:

You posted this as Battle points (where people can sore tens of thousands per hit) and only after people purchased gold with real money then you changed it to WD points (where 400 is the max per hit). This is not a mistake. Not even you or your development team is this inept. This is fraud, pure and simple.

FYI the Federal Trade Commission has the power to shut down businesses that are operating in violation of federal law. madoff's criminal activity was first investigated by the FTC before the Feds came in and arrested him. The FTC has recently shut down on line pay day loan companies for fraudulent activities.

The way the "community" reads this is

oops, community is pissed about the switch from BP to WD, and they are not spending as much gold as we thought they would".......let's double the points, now that they are not scoring many, and see if we can make them increase the gold spending

From wandering about the internet chat rooms, chatting up players in other games, most game makers are GIVING FREE prizes (yes, more than ONE prize daily, some hourly) to their customers, OLD and NEW equally.

Those game makers are doing it because this is the season of GIFTING and good will, and because those game makers say they want to show their appreciuation for the custom, lotalty, and support their customers have shown them throughout 2014!

My goodness, what odd sentiments, appreciation, gratitude, respect, admiration, and loyalty.

Its as contagious as reviling your customers, dehumanizing them, stonewalling them, avoiding them, deceiving them, gouging them with outrageously priced junk, giving them stuff that doesn't work, telling them things work (all the while knowing those things don't work), kidnapping or misplacing their game (without which they can't tap, tap, tap, tappity, tap), placing buttons in a way as to have them spend money they might not want to spend, providing them with no approve this purchase button, filling the LTQ sites with thousands of EXTRA targets to again make them spend money on something they aren't trying to hit, programming the targets so they enage in INTERCOURSE to make the player hit the wrong target, otherwise treating them with extreme contempt!

With points being doubled the community will easily reach the first two tiers of point totals. I use real math not gree math lol. My algorithms are in proper order lol. Unless my calculator has been hacked by gree!!!!!!

it has taken 3 days to make 1.7b WD, so yes, in another 3 days the "community" may make another 1.5b WDs, which gree will count as 3b WD s, thus giving a total of 4.7b points enough for the first prize, not sure we can get to 5+b for the second

mis-labeling from BP to WD is a big difference and an epic failure on Gree's part to double-check and proof-read their work.

WD max is 399, while BP ranges upwards to 5k to 80k.

399 is significantly smaller and the goals are near impossible to achieve even with doubling the points from 12/21 or even from the very beginning of this event. 798 is significantly less what most people can get from BPs!!!

maybe we should hold Gree to honor the mistakes/mis-print/typos they make and see if they can do better with their proof-reading! they hold us to accidental tapping and usage of gold purchases.

maybe the person in charge of this product should find out why and who is responsible for checking for typos/mis-labeling and find someone else who can do the job right!!!

I don't know if it's true for other factions, but in mine most people didn't know about the community goals since there was no pop up screen letting us know.. Even now people are not clear about what they are supposed to do in this "community" event.. We are spreading the word somehow.

5 hours have passes since the last 24 hour cycle finish, and gree still has not post the total to date points as of 11am PST

that could mean

1- points increase are so low, they are trying to figure out a way to make the community "participate" more
maybe they will post that points score now will be triple

Closer to Christmas, people are traveling (out of their Wi-Fi zones)
Budgets are being redirected towards fuel, shopping and presents.
Player burn-out (too much tapping, unlikely I know)

The sad part is, there is still a part of me that hates to see these epic failures. I suppose mainly because of all the friends I've made along the way in this game. And I have to say that gree did make a somewhat valiant effort at resolving the issues with MW 4.5.x and IOS and I have to say I really like the linking feature as it means that a couple of my end of life players might be able to continue on.

Then they go and totally screw up a perfectly working premise for WD and top it off by more than doubling it's run time and do it right before Christmas! WTF, guys, I know things are going down the toilet and the top level management have their heads up you know where but surely someone has the gonads to tell these geniuses that their master plan is a dismal failure. If not feel free to forward this note to them.

On a different note Merry Christmas one and all and for the guys oversea's fighting the good fight, be safe and get home soon.

So I'm going out a limb here (facetiously if course) and going to venture that those of us who have been and still ate locked out because of Gree's gross negligence and incompetence are not getting this because we were unable to participate?

Since they set original goal based on points not double or quadruple points and we did not come close even with the extra help I would say that it was a message to gree that 6 day events are not good for the game and maybe they should get their act together and get all the locked out players in before they think about the next new brainstorm, my little personal computer has a go back program that is handy when you screw something up gree needs to do just that and reset to before the updates until they are sure that they have it right!

Yes some genius realized that even the lowest prize was not going to be awarded because participation kept dropping.
Would agree with your observations plus the fact that some players have families and commitments especially at this time of the year so this was destined to be an epic failure.

Then add in equipment prizes being unstackable and recycled and it seems that no thought whatsoever was given to this entire series of events.

With the icing on the cake being FL immediately following WD.
