Does 1000 win prize have another purpose?

Is the 1000 win prize (the frostbitten coat) a unique crafting ingredient or some other special thing? If not, anyone who would get 1000 wins already has better armor. What is the purpose???

I really think you need to rethink indy awards - it is a major disincentive to gemming right now.

Prob will be armor.
The individual rewards, cut off 1000. What happened to everyone who participate gets a reward? That's how it was at the start.
Have 43k cp and am no where close to being on the leaderboard. If your a free player or low/light gem spender, what goal is there to shoot for? Other than the quest.(which if completed should get you into the leaderboard anyway)
