Hey guys,

I wanted to explain the upcoming Durtucken and Giblets event, as it’s a little different from the traditional leaderboard structure. When you open a Durtucken, you have a chance at getting a Chicken Core, an Inner Duck, Giblets, or other prizes. If you get a Chicken Core or Inner Duck (which is set up in the same way a crate is) you have a chance of getting a Durtucken, an Inner Duck (if you’re opening a Chicken Core) a Chicken Core (if you’re opening an Inner Duck), Giblets, or other prizes.

Please note: If you receive an Inner Duck or Chicken Core, these will appear in your inventory under "Special" as they are technically crates.

So, an example scenario could go like this:

Open Durtucken
Receive Chicken Core
Open Chicken Core
Receive Durtucken (!)
Open Durtucken
Receive Giblets

or just:

Open Durtucken
Receive Giblets

Here is a really great drawing of our development process for this event:

To complete Thanksgiving: The Reckoning, you have to collect all of the items. There are 3 in each animal -
Durtucken contains the Auto Baster, Military Chef, and Elemental Cook
Chicken Core contains the Magical Carver, Turkey Tenderizer, and Pudding Golem
Inner Duck contains the Demon Prep Cook, Auto Roaster, and Cranberry Ooze.

If you collect all of these, you receive the Turskeleton.

I hope that makes sense! If you have any other questions, please let me know. Happy feasting ,,^. .^,,

To answer your question, yes...I'm confused

Jesus Christ...

I think I'll just quietly abstain from this event, then. While as a culinary plate, a Turduckin is downright amazing, it doesn't translate over well to what you all envisioned...

EDIT - Thanks for the info though. It is a bit of a let down knowing that we can spend gems on an open, receive one of those inner items, and then end up right back with another box to open...

Thank you for the info. It's nice to get this before the event. Thanks again!

No problem - I'm pretty sure it's not actually that confusing once you start playing. I hope you all enjoy my hand turkey.

This is probably the Achilles's heel of the event and a reason players will hate lockbox events if it continues to be a trend. Gem spending is supposed to guarantee a 100% chance of getting something, not ending back up at square 1 which is the equivalent of a gold open "sorry" message.

I just want to know who drew the hand turkey.

Sorry for any confusion - you are still guaranteed something by using the gem opening, it just might take a few more clicks. If in this case you get a Duck or Chicken, and then go back to a Durtucken, you still receive an item rather than a "sorry" message.

That was me - it's my right hand.

A&F, you DO understand that a few extra clicks, simply to receive another durtucken is the same effect as getting nothing at all, right? Before the event even started, I had 120+ of them... getting the runaround like that is an Achilles's Heel, no ifs ands or buts about it. Poor design part of what would otherwise be a nifty, if still entirely too complex, system.

Exactly as Lys says, it's the equivalent of a "sorry" message. You don't actually get anything except your Durtucken back which is no prize at all and a pure robbery of gems.

I don't share Lys's aversion to the complexity of it, I like that part, but using gems to just receive a Durtucken in the end is the equivalent of a "Tap here to deduct 20 gems" button.

Things like this are one of the reasons I quit buying gems and you better believe that if I hadn't stopped, I would have after seeing this.

So basically spend cash to get another box which gives u a random item, which in turn could be crap or great, didn't realize that Ka was now a casino.

Further more the current supplies offer is cheep ass from gree in my eyes, in last ones you had gems, nice item, plus chance items, now all just chance items. No way am I even tempted getting one

So, chances of finishing "Thanksgiving: The Reckoning" are, in reality, 0.0001%. Even with gem resetting and gem openings. And this after NO gem sale during war.
Do you really think that this moron (who has already wasted a lot of money on box events) will continue wasting gems and filling gree's pockets for getting nothing in return?
Who came up with this idea? The gardener, cook, the thief, his wife or her lover?

Although I find the idea very well thought out and I really appreciate the fact you give information beforehand. I do think you overcomplicated the box event a little, well maybe not a little.

To much options and clicking, already tired of boxes and crates i need to open every single time.
I'm quite a fan of minimal clicking required, makes for smoother gameplay and less hassle when you want a quick log in during a small break.

So now we have to get lucky twice. First you need an opening, then if you get a duck or chicken, you need to get lucky again.

I'll use gold to try to get Giblets, but the rest of this new box event and the collect 21 items quest are too complicated, and I have no idea where to even get some of this stuff. No last minute gems to win something on this one. Especially since it's possible to win another worthless Turkey by wasting 20 gems. "Winning" another Turkey to try to open is an insult. Better to have anything else, even a worthless unit.

That turkey hand? It's there to represent the slap in the face of the player that this represents when you spend gems to open a Durtucken only to receive back the Durtucken in the end with nothing to show for it.

Gotten an energy refill and several health refills. Not nearly as many as I'd like (I think there's some bias in the reward payout against those two).

A&F

Please have the developers TAKE OFF from the random prizes the Durtuckens
with all due respect that is very stupid

1- you get a durtucken while playing the game (kill EB or mobs)
2- you wait 1 hours to "open" it (less if you have cooldown bonuses)
3- you get an inner duck or chicken core as prize (if you are actually lucky to open the box
4- you now have to go to menu, inventory - special and look for the duck or chicken to open them (only good thing is 100% sure it will open)

5 - with Gree "math" and "randomness"........90% of the time you get a DURTUCKEN............which almost everyone being active probably has over 100 of them

I honestly rather have the "sorry" from the start than having to do all this other stupid extra steps to once again end up with the same "sorry" in the form of getting another durtucken.................so please if we successfully open a box to get a second box with ramdom prizes inside........MAKE SURE we actually get a prize and not another useless box, so PLEASE remove the durtucken from those prizes and add a different item

Cheers
