Lol, Jhenry - still remember they were a must-have for a while, together with the Super Hornets (SH) and Expert Attack Drones (EAD) - and I still remember the drive to get Armageddon Drones (AD) later on.
Never looked at the low end of my inventory until now and found that I still have more than 500 SH's and over 900 AD's (total on two accounts)... completely useless, actually not that long after wasting a lot of valor on them...

Stealth Frigate was my favourite but I never had time to collect that many.
In those days I ran a big spreadsheet recording every unit I had and accounting all bonuses so I could work out what was in my army and what to buy next lol. No chance of that now with over 35k units lol.

Yup think i still have a few. Btw that was the very first screw up in the game! A number of us realized that this unit had really good stats for it's cost so we loaded up on them and that made us stronger than most players.

Then Funzio relaized their screw up and changed the stats to a much lower value. In any event it was a mess with some getting their valor refunded and units removed because this was done without warning.

I didn't get a refund, then after the refunds were processed they suddenly cranked the stats back up to the original level but raised the cost. Woohoo I thought since I never got rid of mine, but in true Funzio wisdom they increased the loss rate on these units and basically killed off any advantage very quickly.

Hmmm I'm seeing a pattern here......

I remember back when I had android.. I was trying to work out the best map to farm for loot.. think it was financial district.. that truck dropped an air unit (for the life of me I cant remember what it was) .. turned out that droid got a 100% drop rate while ios did not.. think that was one of the first ios vs droid bugs that i can remember

I remember farming that air unit, too. For some reason I think it had stats of either 80 or 180. I also remember killing map bosses to get huge cash prizes. Killing map bosses and getting ~$20 million is how I funded getting my anniversary buildings.

The game keeps getting smaller as less and less of us are around.

Its gets tiresome with all the new people whining on here. Threads like this make it worth coming back.

Sorted my inventory by oldest... Love that 120A 80D one year veteran... Plus all those old valour and strong against units. I have around 100 of most of them... SF, hornets, collecting some of those on holiday in Crete... I've now played MW on multiple continents over three years... Cafes in Helsinki, airport in China. Much to my wife's constant disgust...

I remember when the factions were first formed in the game. We had an unanonuced pvp faction event. Couldnt believe our luck when the reward popped up. Think it was a plane about 100 A. Next event was the AVN Sub which we never got even after several tickets from all in the faction...

Elite Base Defense...a PvP tournament for most attacks won.

That event cost me a lot of units by getting smoked by huge stat players, with attacks around 35k.

The prize got recycled, and should be in most players inventory now.

Ahhhh. That's right! Never competed at that level for iph at the beginning, but I remember the PvP event for most attacks (and being pissed about it) because I just sat there and lost legions of my jungle stalkers and getting so miffed I sent a ticket stating I was getting bullied!

Man, those were the days.

And yes, during the scavenger hunt PvP tournament, I never reset my buildings because they were costing me a ton of units as well.

I remember the scavenger hunt or whatever it was called. I deleted my Guard Towers since that was the first goal and whatever the next couple were. I think others did the same or left them dead like you. Remember thinking what a stunned event that was.

I remember him accusing me of spying on him when he begged me for concrete blocks.
That was a fun conversation.

i remember when the "Fighting Irish" little Leprechaun Hat / Boston Celtics Jersey wearing Ninja with an AK47 Rifle was released late one afternoon - I remember it was 90 Gold and had 92/64 stats - which wasn't the strongest unit out - but for that Good price - it had the highest stat compared to the 40-50 stats usually available at that price.

I bought 4 of them thinking it was a great bargain - then about 12 hours later - they changed out the "Fighting Irish" unit for the "Fighting IRA" with much lower stats - and people we first of all pissed about missing out on such a "bargain".

Then there were the sensitive history geeks who cried that the IRA was a terrorist organization and why would Funzio make a unit honoring terrorist.

gosh all these units and their stats, look at the ridiculous amount of inflation...

I am rather fond of the days when:

1. Stat inflation meant that the units given out on the epic boss were 1 att or def higher than they were the last epic boss.
2. That stocking up on transports (0/10 unit) was a great way to build your defense - I was not strong enough to buy the large valor units but the GIGN rocked!
3. That the biggest headache in game was collecting your buildings on time.
4. When there was joy in getting a scratcher with a unit that had a 60 attack or defense rather than the 12/10 units.

Oh, the good ole days when the game actually functioned. When there were not faction event after faction event. Where you could sit out an event out and still be able to play the game at a competitive level.

I miss the days when this game actually worked.

Thanks, Jedi. 40% ground increase?! Dang, I should have tried harder to collect those medals.

I don't have them but the Chocolate Submarine and the Cupid-type unit are still among my faves. I think my first post was about those submarines conjuring visions of the pool disinfecting scene in Caddy Shack.

And the heated debate that occurred with the naming of the Flancraft was classic! I think I was a finalist for that naming contest.
