why am I losing to players with significantly less total defense than my Attack? Have the rules for war changed?

3- do the chiken dance
4- Pray to the "Gree gods"
5- cross your fingers and hope you win

You misspelled something in #4. you forgot to put the D after the ee.

I've lvl 78 with 27M Attack and I'm losing to a lvl 168 wih 21M defense?!? I would never have lost those before the update.

I am 270m attack and lose every time to someone with 199m defense, the only thing I can think of is their equipment defense is higher than my equipment attack.

I lost with my mini (180m attack) against a guild guardian with 150m defense... I lost with a single, did a refill and lost with a mega...
That has to be fixed soon

My mini has 543m attack with a +53% conquest attack, so that would be 830m attack. He just lost 3 times to someone with 238m defense.

Tadaaah what is going on? We've made posts and tickets about this since the data push a couple of days ago. But no response. I know there's a lot going on right now, but peeps who have spent money on this game improving their stats are now finding those stats are worthless. You will lose these spenders if this isn't fixed.

Taaaadah, please give this feedback to the game designers! Are you out of your (self edited)..... um Minds!!!! So let me get this straight. I work incredibly hard to build up an ID that does over 1.2B in attack. I am now regularly loosing to people less than half my stats. Why? because they have better unit Equipment (people with over 120K versus my 20K) and a tad better on the Hero Equipment stat. WAY TO WIN OVER THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF KA COMMUNITY. Why should I spend another dollar on this game.

I don't know how much needed.You can always check it when you hit a rival by pressing info

I did an experiment, and bought 100 basic masks (0/1) and 100 basic shoes(1/0), and indeed both my equipment attack and defense went up by 100 each. But this increase wasn't immediately visible, I only saw it after exited and came back to KA.

it seems to be like 40 30 30 (percent) unit attack, alliance attack and hero attack, I barely fought anyone above my level b/c of my lack of weapons collections (never needed them before and not old school like some that used to farm) I lost a lot of points in the war fighting smaller players. Alliance attack seems to be your total of attack items plus the attack from your 1500 armor also. A lot of players had 60 to 112k compared to my 28k on one char and 8k on the other. The hero attack is beyond me, my lowest char, the items add up to his score, gets no bonus for his attack skill, my 121 lvl char was pretty much the total of the 2, but my 152 was about double the stats added. I saw a lot of higher level guys with 3 to 4k. Seems to be level bonuses in there.

Another thing that was changed was the raiding defense stat.. It used be if you raided a building not covered by the tree fort , the tree forts defense would not be counted . It is now. So someone with a 50 mil def with 3 tree forts level 10 still has 50 mil defense no matter where in his kingdom you raid.

Confused by your math. Lvl 10 tree house is 10mil, so 3 would be 30mil, not 50mil

I think that the suggestion is that if you attack elsewhere in the kingdom then the defense should be only 20 mil (when you deduct the tree houses).
