The following is called " ode of remembrance" it's an extract from a poem called " to the fallen" by Laurence Binyon in 1914.
For me it captures the sentiment perfectly at this time of the year as we remember the fallen. ..and as a veteran I also thank those who continue to serve.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them."
