Insanely high XP for bosses?

Just noticed I gained 241 XP for killing boss 120. I'm pretty sure last month the XP for killing bosses was at least 1/10th that amount, and probably lower.

One would think after all the backlash from incredibly insane XP gains from energy missions, Gree wouldn't go on bosses.

But then when has Gree ever made sense? They follow a business model where sucking 1000 players dry of $1000 a month for 12 months is preferable to milking 100,000 players for $25 a month for 12 years.

I can tell you it has gone up but it certainly wasn't 1/10th of that. It was actually almost half of that.

Where boss 120 would have been 121 XP (1+(Boss level *1)
Now it appears it follows 1+ (Boss level *2)

They have to make sure people keep leveling up
that is why those 3 x 24hr ltq on day 2 and day 3 have insane XP
that is why EB is now twice what is was a while back

Epic boss has always given more xp than the rewards are worth.

For the past few months, each epic boss xp has been equal to the level (+1 possibly - I didn't notice). For example when you beat boss 118 you get 118 xp, when you beat boss 119 you get 119 xp. But for each Prize Boss (mostly every 5), you get the same xp as an additional "bonus." So boss 120 gives 120xp + 120xp = 240xp. Yeah, it adds up fast.

Besides Frontline I'm not sure there is another event that would give you less XP than rewards acquired. (maybe a top 50 WD faction placement?)

Then I'm not sure what's going on. With the severely reduced temp energy regen buffs this cycle, I am doing about 1/3 energy based activity I did during the boss last cycle. Last cycle I leveled 1 time during bosses on the final day, and killed a total of 180 bosses.

This round I was around 2/3rd into a level at the start of bosses, have leveled twice, and I'm only on boss 125. Maybe they added a crap ton of experience to the defeat boss x times quests.

One of the current problems with the iOS release is rampant level ups. Could it be that?

Very good point. I would put Raid Boss ahead of Epic Boss, but not by much.

The extra xp is for the particular special prize/goal at 105/110/115/120/125/130 etc.
