It certainly would increase the life span of the game when a new software would be used to play the game.

Except I'd expect nothing less than it hitting the app stores as Modem Ware and no one at Gree being able to figure out how to fix it.

Where are you seeing these rumours, could we get some proof?

They attempted a Crime City 2.0: City of Rivals...3D graphics and a few improvements. That didnt go past beta. It has been canned. Unfortunately, the game only had the story line, no events. You could declare wars at anytime and get points used to buy rare items/bonuses...but there wasnt enough people on beta that you could wait 24hours without a match...think that having scheduled events is better...

Wonder if they will try the same with modern war...
