View Full Version : Why is there such a huge gap in between modern war and crime city?

Both game are pretty much the same copy pasta layout, but yet still modern war seems to be encouraging its players to complete most of its events by handing out free items such as health pack, stamina/energy regen. They even have a system that rewards you for attacking other players.

Is it because that the modern war player base is larger than crime city? Or do they have more resources into their team vs crime city's? Or perhaps its because modern war is dying?

maybe because they want people to stop playing crime city and move on to thier new garbage games that their making like, criminal legacy which is complete crap, or that other crappy fighting one that is exactly the same and equally crap. Who knows ?

I personally have never played modern war, so I'm probably not the one to talk.. but when I scrolled through the ratings because I thought of downloading the game they were all terrible, never saw above 2 stars.. and Crime City never got under a 4 star rating.

This is probably because, and I might be wrong, but modern war's stat inflation is WAY over Crime City's, and if you're a new player joining the game there is no possible way of ever catching up.. and GREE knows that. So they keep on with the stat inflation, knowing the game will probably die in itself withing the next year or so when stat inflation has reached it's breaking point, and suck as much money from the top teams as possible.

They learn from their mistakes and don't want to do the same to Crime City.. that's why stat inflation isn't all the inflated here. Looking at that necroe'd thread.. looks like item stats are rapidly increasing and mods are rapidly starting to suck.

Modern war is way better. You can come up so much faster and have so much fun for free! Just one example almost every war we get -5% upgrade time and +5% building output. Where we should all know it's hard as hell to come up here.

For the record, there is just now first 1 Mil ATT stat unit in Modern War with +3 % Alliance attack boost on it. Prize on completing Prestige raid boss.

I repeat. One million attack. :/

It's the second +1 million attack unit actually. There was one for finishing SLTQ I think it was which I have. The Raid Boss one is for finishing Masters (which has bosses level 105-150)

The one for masters is 1.7 mil. For prestige it was 1 million....

MW is very easy to catch up. I started around 4 months ago and now my account is a beast. Even by MW stat inflation. And the game
Is more fun with the bonus of Regen mods. Energy mods. Income mods. Now they giving out health packs and energy packs that just make it more enjoyable for the free play. I finished last FLTQ with prestige iLTQ (never even attempt iLTQ in CC) for free by saving up the free energy packs...
So MW is actually better placed than CC. IPH is also better to improve in MW

Would also like to add that they give away boost units (most of the time) for each level of iltq which encourages more people to actually do it.....rather than the complete all in CC, which most people pass on by these days. They could definitely do with some aspects coming this way......

And great prize for finishing it too - +1 building upgrade.

For the poorer players they're repeating that this cycle with a temporary boost for getting to level 7 (and another prize for level 10) A bit of imagination once again. Certainly beats the dull +1% mod per level in CC.

I prefer crime city because the stat inflation over at mw is way too big. It's all your preference which one you like better though.

I also play both and i enjoy MW more than CC and even with the stat inflation, the faction side is more enjoyable now coz it really encourage members to participate on faction goals, my faction just finished the master LTQ ( and we are only a t500 faction) getting final reward of a 6m stat unit with a raw stat increase of around 15m :-) , we accepted a lvl5 player and with 100k stat and after the FLTQ he is now 20mil at lvl9 LOL

** and raiding is bugged at CC, uses 2 stamina per raid?

Your level 5 guy proves it's not impossible to catch up. As always the key is participation, participation, participation. I still get attacked in MW by players with worse stats than 20 mil, lol

A new player in CC would have a much bigger task catching up unless they either know someone in a successful syndicate and can hitch a ride, or they can afford to just spend like crazy.

MW is where I learned how to play this game. I made so many mistakes there among the. Rising way too quickly. I retired that game, but tried going back. It would have been great if I started at zero again, but at such a high level with redicolously old stats there was no way.

Was kind of the opposite for me. I "played" MW for about a year before factions began but if I'm honest didn't enjoy it that much so was still only about level 30 at the time. Just slowly built my base but not even that well as I had to sell off a bunch to buy the Anniversary Center and Arctic Mining Rig LTBs.

Over here I got a bit over addicted to robbing and ended up levelling rather too fast for a while.
